Joseph R. Casey

Joe represents individuals and businesses who have suffered financial or bodily harm due to the intentional or negligent acts of others. He strongly believes that civil juries are the best mechanism for securing a full measure of justice for his clients and prepares each case as if it will proceed to verdict.

A linguist by training, Joe’s passion is communicating complex facts and law to courts and juries. During law school, Joe represented clients as a licensed student practitioner in state and federal court. In the years after graduation, he assisted several trial teams in cases which resulted in landmark legal decisions and record-setting verdicts. He now brings those insights and trial techniques to bear on his practice at Harding Law.

Joe has deep roots in both the State of Iowa and the legal profession. When he graduated from Drake University Law School, Joe became the fourth generation in his family to study law, practice law, or serve on the bench in Iowa.

Prior to joining Harding Law, Joe worked at a boutique law firm recognized nationally for its handling of plaintiff’s commercial and injury cases.
